FLL Junior students meet chairman of LEGO Group

Students in Creator Academy's FLL Junior teams have prepared for over 3 months for their Boomtown Build science exhibition at Macquarie University held this week!

Students presented a powered model to demonstrate modern and futuristic ideas to improve their cities such as elevators, holograms, cranes and even flying cars!

In addition to their LEGO model displays, students also created a 'show me' poster to highlight all their learnings throughout the season, and present their ideas to judges.

Special guests dropped by to say 'hi' to the students and their families including Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, the executive chairman and former CEO of LEGO Group based in Denmark!

All our teams received awards to recognise their achievements this season:

  • FLL Jnr team Rapid Runways - Explore and Discover Award
  • FLL Jnr team Star Wars Invaders - Innovative Programming Award
  • FLL Jnr team Micro Movers - Explore and Design Award
  • FLL Jnr team Super Duper Scrappy Builders - Model Design Award

Special thanks to this season's supporters, Preston Hire, Virgin Australia, Dr. David Soldani, Transport for NSW and Hon. Victor Dominello MP for providing expertise, feedback and encouragement for our students.

See you again next season!
