In preparation for the FIRST LEGO League MASTERPIECE season, Creator Academy robotics teams toured the most iconic artistic space in the world: The Sydney Opera House for a behind-the-scenes look at this phenomenal structure.
Together with our friends from FLL Team Apollo, students were shown how the architecture, engineering and technology of the Opera House sustains millions of visitors every year.
From the weatherproof tiles to the acoustic engineering of the concert halls, students took note of all the features of the Opera House to inspire their innovation projects of the upcoming robotics season focused on art and expression.
We look forward to bringing you more updates from our FLL teams soon!

Since 2021, Creator Academy students have been proudly wearing the Jaycar logo to regional and national tournaments. This year will see the first time that the team wears their uniform in an international event when they travel to the World Championships in the USA.
Garry Law, head coach of CA says: “Jaycar’s continued sponsorship ensures that our kids are among the best equipped and supported robotics teams in Australia. In addition to providing generous funding for uniforms and equipment, Jaycar staff offer our kids unparalleled expertise in coding, 3D printing and engineering.”
The Sponsorship & Community team from Jaycar says: “We’re thrilled to continue supporting the students at Creator Academy to reach their goals and ambitions in STEM education”
We look forward to sharing more exciting collaborations with Jaycar in the near future!
]]>To our students, this grant is more than just helping with air fares, it is recognition that what they do is important for our future and the money encourages them to continue pursuing greatness in coding and robotics.
For our kids, getting the chance to represent their country in their favourite subject takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
Every dollar of the grant will be spent on easing the financial pressure of the kids doing international competition for Creator Academy, we will be giving $1000 for every student who is travelling to the USA in April for their VEX world championships tournament as well as $300 for all the kids participating locally in the FIRST LEGO League Asia Pacific Open Championships in June.
If your child or school is interested in learning more about robotics then why not pop in to our Eastwood or Chatswood robotics center? We have robotics classes for all ages and skill levels, and we collaborate extensively with schools around Sydney. Visit www.creatoracademy.au to learn more.
Make sure to subscribe to our channel to get the latest updates from our robotics competitions. Once again thank you to the great staff at business.gov.au , you are truly amazing and we cannot wait to see how far our kids can go. Go Aussie!
