Three of Creator Academy's FIRST LEGO League teams toured the Transport Management Centre this week as part of their ongoing research for their innovation projects.
Led by Marco Spadaccini, Director of Real-time Communications, and organised by Transport for NSW, the tour included rare insight into the ways that government agencies work together with technology to solve everyday problems with traffic flow.
Marco and his team presented an extensive overview of the TMC’s activities, and the students were in awe of the efforts taken behind the scenes to keep our roads running smoothly.
From the Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (S.C.A.T.S) software to theories of how traffic behaves like liquids, TMC helped us inspire our students about traffic management, and think actively about problems that they can help solve in the future.
