CA Phoenix Tech Wins Regional Tournament

Creator Academy's FIRST LEGO League: Challenge team, Phoenix Tech worked for half a year in their latest robotics competition. The kids wrote this message to their parents and coaches on tournament day:

"We're just waiting for the final results for FLL Cargo Connect. Whatever the result, we want to thank our coaches, parents and FIRST for another great season.

Also a big thank you to Jaycar for supplying our equipment. You guys are awesome!"

See their live reaction to their win below:

In this season 'Cargo Connect', the students were challenged to find new and better ways to improve the transportation of cargo, researching topics from sustainability, safety and energy efficiency.

In addition to building a high-scoring LEGO robot for the robot game, their innovation project 'SnakeSafe' is an integrated mobile app and automated drone concept designed to deliver life-saving medicines to patients in rural India, the world's deadliest country for snakebites.

The team consulted with experts at Metro Trains Sydney to learn about how automation can improve transport systems, and they also networked with Biochemistry professors at the University of New Delhi to gather first-hand feedback.

Congratulations once again to the talented students of Phoenix Tech! We look forward to seeing even more action from the team as they prepare for the National Championships in the coming weeks.
