Today we shine a spotlight on another high-achieving year 6 student Cherry, one of our newest team-members in Phoenix Tech.
Cherry received a Distinction in the first round of the Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC), and was subsequently invited to the second round where she achieved a stunning 11th place in all of Australia and New Zealand for her year group.
Run by the Australian Maths Trust, the OUCC challenges students in their problem solving, programming and critical thinking ability.
Success in the OUCC depends on consistent determination both inside and outside the CA classrooms, and Cherry has displayed equally impressive accolades at school, being offered full scholarships from no less than four private schools including Barker and Pymble Ladies College.
We are proud to include Cherry in Phoenix Tech, and we wish her continued success in robotics in the future!
