If we asked you: “Who is the biggest goal-scorer in a single match of international soccer?” What players would come to mind? Ronaldo? Beckham? Messi?
The answer is Australian striker, Archie Thompson who scored a whopping 13 goals against America Samoa in 2001, leading Australia to win 31-0.
Archie is an old friend of head coach Garry, who grew up with Archie in Bathurst. Archie has been a key player for Melbourne Victory FC for many years, and he has also experienced playing with European football clubs like PSV and international call-ups for the Australian national team.
With Archie's expertise in teamwork and mental preparation, students learned about the importance of communication and leading by example in a large team environment like our own FIRST LEGO League team.
