As we approach the middle of 2020, FLL students at Creator Academy have started reaching out to real-world experts in sports, nutrition and technology.
Dr. Gary Browne is the world's leading expert in children's brain injuries caused by sporting accidents.
Dr. Browne leads CHISM, the Children’s Hospital Institute of Sports Medicine, which is currently operating the only children’s concussion clinic in the Southern Hemisphere.
With this year’s FLL topic on sport and exercise, Dr. Browne provided students with valuable insight into the latest technologies in injury prevention and diagnosis such as:
- Neural network research
- Concussion research
- Virtual injury assessment
- Artificial intelligence
