Today, students from Creator Academy robotics teams took a tour of Mount Piper Power Station to learn about a critical part of New South Wales’ energy infrastructure.
For the FIRST Australia FIRST LEGO League season this year revolving around electricity, students took valuable lessons in learning about energy production in-person at the power plant.
Commissioned in 1993, the coal powered station provides between 14 - 18 percent of the entire state’s energy supply.
CA is privileged to be the first school to resume tours of the power station since the start of the pandemic three years ago.
Thank you to the experts at EnergyAustralia for your support in kids’ education!
