All Four CA VEX Teams Qualify for National Tournament

Creator Academy students kicked off their first ever VEX tournament campaign with a bang over the weekend!

After 6 months of learning, designing and building with the VEX system, CA kids travelled to Barker College at Hornsby for their first VEX robotics event. Amongst the gathering of over 100 teams from around Sydney, only 20 spots were up for grabs to progress into the national tournament in Sydney Olympic Park at the end of the year.

The day proved to be an emotional roller-coaster for all teams, as students fought off nervousness and dealt with technical issues while overcoming challenges.

Students were encouraged and supported by coaches, parents and friends throughout the tournament, with our friends at Jaycar dropping in to boost their spirits as well.

Despite the difficulties of competition, all students displayed impressive determination and eventually succeeded in qualifying for the next level of competition.
