Creator Academy is delighted to announce that Queensland aeroponics company Airgarden is sponsoring our FLL robotics team Phoenix Tech for the 2022-2023 season.
Airgarden is the developer of Australia’s first locally-made retail aeroponic gardening system.
What is aeroponics? Developed by NASA scientists, aeroponics is a gardening system that is clean, reliable and operates all year round without the need for soil and large spaces. It reduces waste, saves energy and minimises effort while rapidly producing food in any environment.
Successful application of aeroponics is the key for future long-term habitability in spacecraft, the moon, Mars and beyond.
Head coach Garry says: “We are thrilled to have the support of Airgarden for our student robotics projects this season. Aeroponics is an exciting technology that teaches kids valuable lessons on how food grows, and how we can all use technology to achieve a sustainable future.”
Prue from Airgarden says: "We are so excited to be able to support these amazing young people in their project. We are committed to grow young minds. To be able to use the Airgarden for the students to learn critical thinking and problem solving as they explore, discover and create their own ecosystem using Airgarden aeroponic growing systems."
We look forward to sharing more aeroponics action from the students in the weeks to come!
