Abbotsleigh Junior’s VEX IQ team 5876A made their debut today at the Tamworth VEX Robotics Tournament, hosted by Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School, and delivered an outstanding performance.
The primary school students travelled four hours to compete against a field largely made up of high school teams—yet they rose to the challenge with determination and skill. In an impressive achievement for their very first tournament, the girls secured 2nd in alliance finals, proving that age is no barrier to talent and teamwork.
Their creativity and engineering approach were also recognised with the prestigious VEX Design Award, celebrating their methodical design process, innovative thinking, and attention to detail.
The CA girls represented Abbotsleigh Junior with pride, demonstrating resilience, ingenuity, and sportsmanship throughout the event. We are excited to share more from this promising new robotics team as they continue their journey.
