Whether it’s coding or a karate kick, there are some skills that will stick with you for the rest of your life.
I took a moment from work to pay a visit to my old friend and karate master Warren Hickey, who is still doing backflips and kicking boards at 80 years old. To my surprise, my body was able to squeeze out one kick for a photo.
Although I only did karate for a few years in primary school, they were some of my favourite childhood memories.
Teachers like Warren inspired me to teach kids myself. I hope that my students will look back on their coding classes with the same fondness I look back on my karate days.
